Agri

We live in an agricultural country but the cost of producing some of our agricultural goods are higher than importing good from other countries. We can't lesten our imports of goods from other countries due to trade agreements so the problem would be how to make our product more competitive and affordable. A country that is able to create one of the manmade wonder of the world should be proud of it agricultural prowess.

What more can our government do to help our farmers to make our product more competitive locally and internationally? Actually for me the government can do a lot if they allocate more budget to make farming more efficient and cheaper. The government can build more infrastructures that can make transporting and processing our product more efficiently like roads to transport good processing plants for raw material we produce. There are many other ways the government can help with enough research they would be able to pinpoint strengths and weakness that can help improve our agricultural sector. The government can also help during calamities by giving more support in helping our farmers recover during and after such occurrences.

What can farmers do to make our products more competitive? Think of ways to improve quality and quantity of your products. It will not hurt to try new way of farming if it will improve the product you are producing and if you are doing the best then keep it up don't lower your standards just to make things easier. In this day and age information is easily accessed by people with the means and know how and Filipinos are able to access this information so it would be helpful for us to use this to help ourselves improve. Do not let pride and stubbornness get in the way of improving. It would be difficult to apply new changes to what has been already practice for year but if it will be more beneficial why not face the difficulty now reap the fruits it will give in the future.

Easier said than done but not impossible
